Jamie Oliver, 43, is a British celebrity chef, television personality and author, also known as the “Naked Chef’.
He is known for attempting to overhaul and change the diets of people around the UK, spreading the word and educating people about healthy eating.
Taking his own advice Jamie also overhauled his own diet, losing a whopping 27 pounds – almost two stone – by eating more of a certain food.
He is currently appearing on Jamie Cooks Italy, a food dedicated to carb-heavy dishes, but has still managed to maintain his slimmed-down physique. How did he do it?
Talking to This Morning presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield in 2015, Jamie revealed that he lost weight quickly by actually eating more.
“I lost 12 kilos quite quickly and I didn’t do it through not eating,” the chef said.
“I ate a lot, more than I was used to. I pushed meat down, pushed veggie up, got more sleep and more movement.”
The Naked Chef also revealed that he exercised more regularly and made sure he got enough sleep, with sleep deprivation often leading to an increased appetite and overeating.
The celebrity chef insisted that eating well “doesn’t have to be complicated”, with the easiest weight-loss method being eating filling foods that are high in nutrients.
Talking about his weight loss, Jamie has also revealed that he lowered his alcohol intake by not drinking in the week.
Another food that Jamie ate more of to slim down was seaweed, revealing that he ate the Japanese delicacy to speed up his weight loss.
“I thought seaweed was hippy, globetrotting stuff but our ancestors ate seaweed,” he told Mail Online.
“It has got a load of iodine and is the most nutritious vegetable in the world.”
In an effort to lose even more weight Jamie has also hired a personal trainer,
According to The Mirror, Jamie hired the help of celebrity trainer, Jamie Sawyer, who has previously trained Gerard Butler.

The London-born medium coined the stage name “Psychic Sally”, forging a successful brand and appearing in Sally Morgan: Star Physic and several series of the Sky Living programme Psychic Sally: On the Road.
